KARPFENLAND

This project is a photographic journey through the German region called the "Karpfenland Aischgrund". Its name stems from the tiny river Aisch located in northern Bavaria. The Aisch is home to the mirror carp, a famous Franconian delicacy. The carps grow in countless ponds which shape this landscape in a very unique way.

For my landscape photography class I traveled around the Aischgrund, capturing the beauty of this special area. To document this, I designed a photobook that was then exhibited.
